The Market was originally based on the "Old World" concept that Fox had grown up and worked in since 1942 in Detroit with Lombardi Foods wholesale and retail stores. Moving to Traverse City to be closer to their daughter Donna and Grandchildren after retirement, boredom set in and Folgarelli's Market was born. Since then Folgarelli's Market Wine Shop has become a cornerstone of old world, gourmet foods and wine in Northern Michigan.
